Alfaz del Pi is one of the major tourist centres in Alicante. Located barely three miles northwest of Benidorm, the old town of Alfaz del Pi occupies a hillside position which overlooks several recently developed suburban districts of hotels and holiday homes in all directions, most especially towards the coastal districts of La Guixa and, especially, L'Albir.
The multinational population includes a significant contingent of Norwegian, Dutch and English. This is town more residential than transitory, as is the case in Benidorm. It is also less dense and high-rise than its neighbour. While not as expansive, the beach is nevertheless just as well maintained and of a good quality with clear waters and a pleasant seaward aspect looking toward the mountainous promontory at Calpe.
The temperature is warm throughout the year with lows of 10 degrees centigrade in the winter months and reaching the 40s at the height of summer. With an economy formed around tourism, Alfaz del Pi and its districts plentifully cater to the tastes of its visitors. Restaurants, bar cafes and shopping opportunities are abundent.
